Summary:

Almost immediately after casting, strange things start to happen both on and off the stage. Curtains fall. Mirrors are shattered. People are hurt in true phantom style. They all seem like accidents until Rebecca receives notes and phone calls that hint at something more sinister. Is Justyn bringing to life the twisted character of the phantom? Or in real life are the roles of the hero and the villain reversed? Rebecca doesn’t know who to trust, but she knows she’s running out of time as she gets closer and closer to opening night. Only when the mask is stripped away, will the twenty first century phantom finally be revealed.
My Review:
Wow. I did not expect that ending.
I have to admit, I forgot that I had to read this book and just finished it now as I'm writing it. I am so ashamed of myself, because this book was actually really good!
Okay, so on to the relationships. I actually was really liking Tom and Rebecca. I know, I am really judge-y. Have you guys noticed? I usually like the 'perfect' guys better than the bad boys. Usually. Almost all the time, but not always. I mean, Justyn had all those piercings and he had eyeliner and he was gothic. I just can't picture it. I guess Tom was meanish to him, but still.
Also, while reading the book, you also get some of the sayings from the book. Little quotes that they say. I feel bad for saying this, but I mostly skipped those. It's not those pre-chapter little notes, but it was actually in the book and they were saying it.
Back to the people! I cannot believe that person actually killed people. How old is he/she? Like 17 or 18! And they killed I think 4 or 5 people. The 'phantom' was really disturbed. I had no idea that it would be that person! I was actually thinking it was Tom or Carmen, but no! It was the least likely person you would think of!
Overall, this was a good read! It has you guessing who the phantom is each moment! I couldn't even guess who it was. I've read some other reviews and it's supposed be a lot like the real Phantom of the Opera. I've never seen it though. 4 Stars!
