Summary:

Charlie thought his summer was going to end like every other summer before it. With a growing sense of forboding and a waning sense of freedom. Until Tane landed on his front lawn in a crumpled heap claiming to be from heaven. A place much darker and much greater than he’d ever imagined. Tane is on a mission to find a Septar, a citizen of Fismuth that was left behind when she was supposed to have been taken. And when she enlists the help of Charlie and his friends, she pulls them into a world of danger, love, and ultimately, heavenly rewards.

My Review:

I really liked this! Thanks to the author for asking me to review it!

I really liked the overall idea of this book! I'm a little confused about the angels though. I don't understand why they made the angels their slaves. I think the angels are nice and they're being so mean to them!

Also, I didn't really like Charlie. I totally agree with Gaius, he thinks too much about her. Think pink elephants Charlie. I like Gaius. If they could have partners in Fismuth, I'd like it if Tane and Gaius were together. Also, their names are really pretty! Tane and Gaius. Gauis and Tane. Seriously, how'd she think up of these names?

And Dethany, I feel bad for her. She's been in like with Charlie since, forever and he never even notices. If he'd just open his eyes, then maybe Dethany and him would be together and when Tane came he wouldn't have taken a second look at her. Okay guys, I'm so sorry, but I'm shipping Gane. Okay.

The ending though, that was what really got me going. I cannot believe it ended like that. Wow.

Overall, this was a super good book! I want to read the second! I read the blurb of it on goodreads and well, it sounded really exciting! 4 Stars!
