Summary:

Eternity. How many times since Mathias came into my life had I considered it? Had I not taken risks that would have left us together for eternity? What I hadn't expected was to have the choice taken from us. Vampires are independent creatures and the old ones definitely don't like being bound to a human. When an ancient vampire comes to Highland Home bent on Mairin's desctruction so he can free himself from his bond to her, Mathias is forced to choose between what he is and who he wishes to be.

My Review:

Hmm. I really do like this series!

I didn't like that the author switched it back to Mairin's point of view. If she wanted to do that then maybe she should have done it from the beginning with Mairin and then Kerry, but, oh well.

I actually liked this one better than the rest in the series! I felt like this had a bunch of new things and we learned so much.

I actually really liked the way everything ended up as. Except for the end with Tawyna. But anyways, I know I said I didn't want Mairin like them, but now after she already turned, I actually do like it! Though, I felt she was too nice in letting Alfred be free. She should've made him work for it.

Alfred ruined everything! Sure, he did it just for Mathias, but no. It was way to much. He should've gotten something small to do, not that big whole giant plan that just backfired on him. I'm really glad that Mathias had to end up doing what he did even if he didn't like it. I can't believe Alfred was like that though! In the previous books, I thought he was getting used to Mairin being in Mathias's life, but now I see that was before she turned.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! if you're interested in Twilight-y kinds of books, this series is the best for you! 4 Stars!
