Summary:

The two that are one must become the one that is all. One to save the world, one to destroy it.
San Francisco:Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel have one day left to live, and one job left to do. They must defend San Francisco. The monsters gathered on Alcatraz Island have been released and are heading toward the city. If they are not stopped, they will destroy everyone and everything in their path.
But even with the help of two of the greatest warriors from history and myth, will the Sorceress and the legendary Alchemyst be able to defend the city? Or is it the beginning of the end of the human race?
Danu Talis:Sophie and Josh Newman traveled ten thousand years into the past to Danu Talis when they followed Dr. John Dee and Virginia Dare. And it’s on this legendary island that the battle for the world begins and ends.
Scathach, Prometheus, Palamedes, Shakespeare, Saint-Germain, and Joan of Arc are also on the island. And no one is sure what—or who—the twins will be fighting for.
Today the battle for Danu Talis will be won or lost.
But will the twins of legend stand together?
Or will they stand apart—one to save the world and one to destroy it?

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend this. If you'd like to know what this series is about, please look at my post on The Warlock, the 5th book in this series, that I just posted 2 days ago. Thanks!

My Review:

No. How could it end this way. I want to know what happens after everything. What happened to the other Marethyu that guided them before? Did he just die or something? What? And how has everything been like now in the future? Are they immortal? Or are they just going through the strands of time?

This book is amazing though. I seriously cried at some points. I can't believe that the author made a ton of people die. I know they sacrificed themselves for the greater good, but I loved all the characters and it broke my heart to see them die. I thought that these two people would have a relationship together if they survived the war, but one of those people died. I would have loved to see them together! And I thought they'd get the codex back so they could 'renew' their immortality, but they didn't and they died too.

This book has also cleared up all the secrets and I am blown away about everything. We finally find out who they actually really are and we learn that the people that are close to them aren't who we really think they are.

The ending is also really unexpected for me. I had no idea that Josh was really him. The person who planned everything right from the beginning. I'm so sad for Josh and Sophie. Their lives are so different now. They don't have any family. They don't even share blood and they learn that there parents aren't really who they say they are. I can't believe that Isis and Osiris are so cruel too.

Overall, this book is the best. Even if it's the last in this series. This series is one of my favorites and I hate that it's ended. This is the best series ever! Even if you don't like these type of books, you'll still love it!
